Responsibilities: 

• Analyze existing security systems and propose enhancements.
• Conduct regular system tests and ensure continuous monitoring of network security.
• Develop and implement security standards, policies, and procedures.
• Collaborate with management and the IT department to improve security.
• Document any security breaches and assess their damage.
• Educate colleagues about security software and best practices for information security.
• Monitor for security breaches and respond to attacks immediately.
• Stay current with cybersecurity trends and threat landscapes.
• Manage the administration of firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus software, and other components of network security.

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Cyber Security Specialist or similar role.
• Experience with network security and networking technologies and with system, security, and network monitoring tools.
• Thorough understanding of the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols.
• Familiarity with web-related technologies (Web applications, Web Services, Service Oriented Architectures) and of network/web related protocols.
• Problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Professional certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CISSP) is a preferred qualification.
