We are seeking a skilled Automation Test Engineer to design, develop, and execute automated test scripts to ensure the quality and reliability of our software applications. The ideal candidate will work closely with developers, product managers, and QA teams to identify test requirements and create a robust automation testing framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or equivalent.
- Create and maintain test automation frameworks for functional, regression, and performance testing.
- Collaborate with developers to integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline.
- Identify, document, and report software defects, and work with the development team to resolve them.
- Perform API testing using tools like Postman, RestAssured, or equivalent.
- Conduct performance and load testing using JMeter, Gatling, or similar tools.
- Implement best practices for test automation and continuously improve testing efficiency.
- Ensure high-quality standards by conducting code reviews and implementing test automation strategies.
- Maintain detailed documentation of test scripts, test cases, and test results.
- Stay up to date with emerging test automation tools and technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in test automation.
- Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Experience in API testing using Postman, RestAssured, or similar tools.
- Knowledge of programming languages like Python, Java, JavaScript, or C#.
- Familiarity with database testing using SQL queries.
- Experience in performance testing tools like JMeter, Gatling, or LoadRunner.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in an agile environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Nice to Have
- Experience with mobile test automation using Appium or Espresso.
- Familiarity with cloud-based testing platforms like BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, or LambdaTest.
- Knowledge of security testing tools.
- ISTQB certification or equivalent.
